Handwraps
Boxing handwraps are an essential part of every boxer’s equipment. They are used together with boxing gloves, whether sparring, bag, or competition gloves. Boxing handwraps stabilize the hand from the wrist, across the metacarpal bones, all the way to the knuckles, where they help absorb the impact of punches. They significantly reduce the risk of hand injuries, cushion impacts, and absorb sweat. They are available in various lengths. The general rule is: the longer the wrap, the greater the protection it provides.
Gel handwraps usually consist of a small glove with gel padding and a long textile wrap that is applied in the same way as a traditional handwrap. They are especially popular among beginners and fitness boxing enthusiasts.
Knuckle guards serve as additional padding that helps absorb impacts. They are placed over the knuckles and then wrapped with a traditional boxing handwrap, providing enhanced protection.
